I’ve been thinking about this design for a couple days. Here’s my prototype. What do you think? Made from reclaimed fence wood.

This piece measures 15″ by 15″ and had 625 squares in all. This is made from reclaimed fence wood and acrylic paint. Each cube seems to have a color of its own because of the variations in the wood grain patterns and the unique color of the wood itself.
A couple of shots of the little square pieces before they were little pieces.
Cubescape measures approximately 36” by 24”. There are 600 cubes making up this landscape, each one sanded to a smooth surface. The way the grain patters and the different height cubes gives this piece several different looks, depending on the viewing angle and the direction of light.
A different angle.
From the time I created Soundwave, I knew that I wanted to make a mini version of it. Made from reclaimed fence wood, Mini-Soundwave measures 3 feet wide and is 19 inches at its tallest point.
A couple of more shots…
This is the first installment of LGBT awareness pieces I created. This one is simply called Pride Flag and again is based on the Pride Flag designed by Gilbert Baker in 1978. It measures 34″ by 18″ and is 2″ thick. With the exception of the backboard, this is entirely made with reclaimed fence wood.
